They Posted These So I Don’t Have To
These are some of my favorite posts from around the web over the past week.

I’m always happy to see the High vs Low posts on Nursery Notations. This week Andrika shared Patterned Animal Silhouettes.

The winner of Babyology’s $10,000 nursery makeover competition had her baby and brought her home to this gorgeous nursery. Dream nursery indeed!

I really like Hoolaboola’s Get the Look: Green post and look forward to more of their series on designing and decorating childrens’ rooms.

Modern Parents Messy Kids had a terrific post about Stylish and Stimulating Storage for Kids (which included a photo from my nursery tour from Monday). I love the canvas bins below and am always heartbroken to see they are only available in the UK. They’re exactly what I need (but I’d like boys shoes and boy dress up images on the front).

Have a wonderful weekend everyone. We have the last T-ball game of the season tomorrow and both boys have swimming lessons on Sunday. I’m also starting a project to decorate the boys’ bathroom a bit. Gotta buy paint so I’ll be visiting our local Benjamin Moore store.
Bugaboo Lastest News: Missoni Special Collection!
As if Crate & Barrel + Marimekko isn’t cool enough, check out Bugaboo + Missoni! Bugaboo has been teasing this news for the past couple of days and finally got their big announcement out this afternoon.
Two tailored designs will adorn the most stylish Bugaboo Bees and Cameleons and come with a knitted Missoni blanket. Zig zags for the Bee and block prints for the Cameleon.

These will be available in July only at Neiman Marcus.
Flexibath Giveaway and New Flexibath Toys
Can you ever have too many bath toys? It’s a question I’ve been asking myself as my boys throw dozens of wet bath toys out of the tub just for kicks.
Just in case you don’t have too many, A Real Cool World is coming out with FlexiBath Toys. Their set of cups, funnel and jug with a lid fits on a little shelf that sticks with suction cups to the side of your Flexibath or any other tub.

These aren’t yet available in the US, but I hope to see them soon as they would be a great addition to a shower gift.
Now, in case you aren’t familiar with the Flexibath, it’s the ultimate space saving baby bath tub that folds flat for easy storage.

It is lightweight, easy to clean, has a handy drain plug in the bottom, is BPA and phthalate free, retails for about $40 and I just happen to have one to give away to you!

To win a white FlexiBath for an expectant or new mother (Mother’s Day is coming right up!):

Crate & Barrel + Marimekko= Start Shopping
Anything that makes more bright and fun Marimekko designs available for my consumption is great in my book, but Crate & Barrel is a personal favorite of mine, so the Marimekko Shop on crateandbarrel.com is a match made in heaven. While I’d like you to take a look at the places settings, bibs and memory game in their Kids collection, there are a few accessory items I’m putting on my wishlist.

1- Ruuturouca Basket- $29 This fun storage basket is 8″ high, 20″ in diameter and full of fun bright color
2- Räsymatto Multi 20″ Pillow is just one of the many Marimekko pillows now available
3- Polku Coat Rack- $119 The rubber coated panels slide and tilt on a lacquered wooden base.
These can all be purchased now. Some are available to ship now and others are expected to ship in May or June.
Thanks to Ampersand Design Studio for the heads up!
Real Room Tour: Declan’s “Crib”
Allison designed a bright and creative space for her son Declan. It’s a vintage/modern mix with a lot of personal DIY touches– starting with the letters spelling out his name.

The crib is Amy Coe’s Westport crib, which you can get right now on amazon. It was a great affordable two-tone option with a storage drawer. Hercule the Elephant was an adorable stand-in until Declan arrived to claim his place in the crib.

Etsy Find: World Maps as Decor
We’ve been talking about using maps as decor lately and since my first map as art post, I’ve found more fun world map selections on etsy.

Minimalist World Map from SuisseMiss- $75

Chalkboard World Map from shopdirtsa- $85
World Map Recycled Collage Poster from artandphilanthropy- $28

Map and Birds Big Print from JudyKaufmann- $90
Vintage 1967 World Climate, Rainfall Classroom Pull Down Map from CathodeBlue- $275
Also try searching for your country or state for more options.
Real Room Tour: Cordelia’s Calm and Candy-Colored Nursery
This room by Sarah Farris-Gilbert of Grace Hilton Interior Design is the girls nursery of my dreams. It’s light, fresh and soothing with pops of fun candy colors.
In addition to the classic Oeuf crib, this photo features Green Lullaby Multiboxes, which are made with corrugated cardboard and are completely recyclable. I think they look cute and colorful on the smooth white floors. You can find the little Dot Mirrors at PB Teen. Seeing them here is really inspiring. The wall looks really chic and a little bit glittery.

The other two great bursts of color in this room are the Fatboy DwellStudio Point ottoman and the Bright Stripe Wool Mat from PB Teen.

The reading corner includes a Kartell Componibili Storage Modules and Ralph Rapson Style rocker. If you aren’t as fortunate as Sarah to have found one at the Rose Bowl Flea Market, an Ikea Poang rocker is a close alternative.

These fantastic custom looking bookcases are Ikea Billy bookcases with a birch top. They are further dressed up with some Britten Nummer fabric from Ikea Modge Podged onto the back.

Needlepoint Map Pillows from Jonathan Adler
There’s so much to love from Jonathan Adler but my latest objects of desire are their new needlepoint map pillows.

Europa Needlepoint Pillow- $125
Afrique Needlepoint Pillow- $98
USA Needlepoint Pillow- $98
S. America Needlepoint Pillow- $175 (not pictured, but it’s a very cool round pillow)
Pick one, or one of each!
And the Transition from Nursery Begins
We said goodbye to the crib today. My 29 month old climbed out of his crib the last two mornings, so for safety reasons be transformed it into a toddler bed this morning. The nursery you carefully shop for and plan doesn’t stay the same forever and newborns turn into toddlers in the blink of an eye. It’s hard to believe until it happens to you.

New From Decoylab
A perennial favorite, Decoylab has a few new bamboo clock designs worth mentioning.

Lion Clock (coming soon), Hippo Clock (which you may have noticed in my hippo roundup), and Duck Clock (coming soon).
They also happen to be on Joss & Main right now (for just the next couple days) under the name Nine Space. (At least I hope they’re just under a different name and not copies.)
I also noticed this fox in their etsy shop, which I don’t remember having seen before.

There is a giveaway for Modern Baby Owl with Numbers on Maiko’s decoylab blog. Entries are open until April 30.
